Idaho’s Mark McCutcheon Suspended and Fined
The ECHL handed down a two-game suspension and a fine to Idaho Steelheads forward Mark McCutcheon for an illegal hit in last Friday’s game against the Bakersfield Condors. McCutcheon sat out of Saturday’s game against the Condors, and will be out on March 10th when the Steelheads face the Victoria Salmon Kings. PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL announced that Idaho forward Mark McCutcheon has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #570 against Bakersfield on March 5.
McCutcheon was assessed a Game Misconduct for checking from behind at 13:56 of the second period.
McCutcheon is suspended and fined under Rule #29 – Supplemental Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
McCutcheon missed Idaho’s game against Bakersfield on March 6 and will miss the Steelheads game at Victoria on March 10.
