Scott Glennie

Continuing a busy day in Dallas-area hockey news, the Stars announced the signing of 2009 1st-round draft pick Scott Glennie to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Glennie, who is just 19-years old, played for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL last season, and competed in the WHL’s Eastern Conference Finals this last spring.  Joe Nieuwendyk has been pretty happy with his progress, and they’re not going to rush him, which is the right move.  This 3-year contract they’ve signed him to will give them some time to develop him in their system, and then bring him up when the time is right.
